About the Opportunity
Meta is excited to offer an Electrical Engineer Internship within its Accelerator Reference Design team in Menlo Park, CA. This position provides a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the design and validation of cutting-edge AI modules and platforms tailored for Meta’s custom AI silicon. As an intern, you’ll gain exposure to server architecture, hardware design, and operational challenges, while collaborating with a world-class team to meet growing AI demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Master Server Architecture and Hardware Design
Learn the intricacies of Meta’s AI-driven custom hardware and server platforms. - Circuit and Power Electronics Analysis
Deep dive into circuits, power electronics, and signal integrity for optimal hardware performance. - Hardware Troubleshooting
Diagnose and resolve hardware failures in Meta’s labs or data centers in collaboration with peers and vendors. - Develop and Execute Test Plans
Create comprehensive test plans, conduct validations, and share findings with the team. - Collaborate on New Module Development
Partner with the team on cutting-edge projects to design and test next-gen AI modules.
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with electrical test lab equipment (e.g., Oscilloscope, Power Supply).
- Experience diagnosing hardware issues at the board level.
- Familiarity with Linux-based systems and scripting.
- Understanding of computer/server system architecture and CAD tools for schematics and PCB layouts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree candidates (Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or similar).
- Hands-on experience in hardware design and validation.
- Knowledge of signal integrity and high-speed communication interfaces.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- A plan to return to academic studies post-internship.
